I will be going on a paint out this Saturday in Fair Oaks with some fellow artists. I will also pick up one of my paintings at the Sacramento Fine Art Center. I won an award for entering a Northern California Artists show contest. My wife, Sandy, and I still have paintings hanging up in the Elk Grove Fine Art Center (Elk Grove, California) and in the Elk Grove Senior Center for the month of Feb. 2010.
I did a series of harbor paintings along Central Coast of Oregon in mid-August. Weather was great, about 65 degrees F on the coast. Central Oregon was in the 100's. Got movies and pictures of the Oregon Coastal Aquarium. I will be a series of Sea Otters and Puffins. I just finished a series of Sea Turtles in watercolor and taught a class in Stockton at the end of August. This month I will be working on a series on Cactus with Flowers for the class that I will teach in Stockton at the end of the month.
Wonderful day today. I should be selling a painting today. Also, my wife, Sandy, and I are the Featured Artist for January and February 2013 at the Elk Grove Senior Center. In March of 2013, we will be the Featured Artists at the Lodi Community Art Center. In July of 2013, we will be the Featured Artist at the Bogle Winery in Clarksburg, California. We are entering several Art Contests and have been attending several of the Sacramento Plein Air Painter events. Sandy is teaching watercolor at the Elk Grove Fine Art Center and I am teaching at the Elk Grove High School at night to Adults. I am writing a new book for a publisher and will let you know about it soon. One of my students asked me to write a book.
